What are electromagnetic radio waves?

We find electromagnetic radio waves in our everyday lives on many levels; they are mainly used for wireless information transmission, but also for monitoring the airspace (radar). From the outside we are confronted with electromagnetic radio waves from cell phone towers, radio antennas, public WiFi networks, radar systems and satellites. In their book “Mobile Radio – Health on Sale”, the authors Hans CH Schneider and Anne Schneider write that you should live at least 300 meters away from a cell phone tower.

In the following graphic you will find an overview of the cell phone masts in Karlsruhe from mid-July 2017. You can see at a glance that it is almost impossible to find an apartment or house that meets this criterion and in 2016 there were already more Mobile licenses sold by the government to operators for 20 billion euros. Now you're just spoiled for choice: apartments in upper locations tend to be more heavily loaded than apartments on the ground floor. Houses with thick sandstone walls are more likely to be protected than houses with thin walls. Even if it is very rare to find a distance of 300 meters, you can still see if you can find an apartment that is at least 150-200 meters away from the nearest mast when you move.

A building biologist can use his measuring devices to show you how large transmitters such as radar systems, cell phone masts, directional radio antennas, radio stations, television stations, tetra radio systems or the city's public WiFi influence your apartment or house and then advise you on renovation and shielding measures .

The world is connected, everything is connected to everything else.

Cell phones, smartphones, Dect phones, WLAN routers, printers, music systems, TV sets, microwave devices, measuring devices on heaters, computer mice, computer keyboards, repeaters, etc. are finding their way into everyday life. 70% of Germans plan to make their apartment or house smarter.

Unfortunately, the stupid thing is that all of these new technical devices mentioned above also work with electromagnetic radio waves (HF radiation). These in turn cannot be tasted, smelled or seen. Electrosensitive people can at least feel it, but here too people are often not clear about what they are feeling. It is estimated that 5-10% of all Germans.

Are sensitive to electrosmog, some sources even say 20-30%. Many people who are sensitive to electrosmog don't even know it because they don't know the connections and aren't aware of it. Let me give you one of many possible examples: There are studies that indicate that the hormone melatonin is produced up to 50-70% less in the human body near cell phone towers. Melatonin is normally produced in the pineal gland and is also called the sleep hormone because we need it to fall asleep. Now, if you live very close to a cell tower, then you could very well be one of those people whose melatonin production goes down and you're having trouble sleeping as a result. You may go to the doctor and they will prescribe you sleeping pills. You take the sleeping pills, but you still don't know the cause. In their book “Mobile Radio – Health on Sale”, the authors Hans CH Schneider and Anne Schneider write a whole chapter about this melatonin problem.

Cell phones, smartphones, tablets, Dect phones, WLAN routers, printers, music systems, microwave devices, TV sets, measuring devices on heaters, computer mice, computer keyboards and repeaters are the HF radiation perpetrators in your own home The arrangement, the mass or dimensions of the devices and their location are important factors in protecting your own body. With a little knowledge you can adjust and change things so that exposure to radiation is reduced to a minimum.

The following points are important when it comes to high frequency radiation:

  • Total load.
  • Duration of stress during the day and at night.
  • Duration of exposure in years.

I would like to briefly explain these points in detail.

  • Example total load:
  • A man is self-employed and has an office with two PCs, a smartphone, a Dect telephone, two WLAN routers, a WLAN printer, a wireless computer mouse and a wireless computer keyboard. The WLAN routers are only one meter away from his office chair and he often has to make phone calls for business reasons. The HF radiation from the routers and the Dect telephone alone was often over 100,000 microwatts. A landscape gardener does not have this burden during the day. In addition to this exposure, the man lived just 100 meters from a cell phone tower and pulsed RF exposures of 180-280 microwatts were measured in his bedroom. The man was therefore unable to recover from the daily stress even at night. The bedroom in particular should be well renovated in terms of building biology, because the body detoxifies at night and this regulation is partially lost when there is electrosmog in the bedroom. It should be briefly mentioned that the HF exposure in this man's office fell below 30 microwatts after renovation and a value of under 5 microwatts was achieved in the bedroom through shielding.
  • Duration of stress during the day and night:

    The duration of the stress consists of everyday life and night time. If you are heavily exposed to HF radiation sources at work, e.g. in the office through Dect telephones, cell phones, routers, etc., this is a permanent exposure due to a normal working time of 8 hours. According to Focus magazine (issue no. 36, 2016), 12-19 year olds look at their smartphone, PC or TV for 6.5 hours a day. 6.5 hours is a long time and therefore almost like working in the office. Adults spend at least 4-5 hours with the media mentioned above. So all that's left is the night. Sleep should be sacred, but RF stress can occur here too. Here's a small example from practice: A woman works in an office on the top floor with a glass front. 15 meters opposite there is a cell phone mast within visual contact. Despite windows that reduce HF radiation, the exposure in the office is over 1500 microwatts, a heavy exposure, 8-10 hours every day plus internal office radiation from Dect telephones, cell phones, printers, routers, etc. At your bed in your private apartment you could do exactly that A load of 1700 microwatts can be measured at the head end. Why? The reason: The neighbor had placed her WiFi router exactly on the other side of the wall. Cell phone towers and internal office devices 8-10 hours a day, cell phones 2 hours during free time and the neighbor's router 8 hours at night, this represents an extreme, long-term RF exposure, and you've probably noticed that two of the biggest exposures are came outside.
  • Duration of exposure in years:

    If you start smoking, you won't get sick in 10 days, nor in a year, and probably not in 5 years. After 15-30 years, however, health problems can arise, perhaps you have a smoker's leg amputated or you get lung cancer. I see it similarly with high-frequency exposure. In the specialist literature you can read that with greater stress the illnesses begin after 5-6 years. As already mentioned, the daily stress in hours and its intensity are also important. Since the government's limits are 10,000,000 microwatts and the building biologists' limits are 1-10 microwatts (depending on the author) and there is a difference of 9,999,999, the question arises as to who is protecting you here. You can take a rope, climb a high-rise building and tie yourself exactly to the antennas of the cell phone tower, the limit of 10,000,000 microwatts will not be reached. Protect yourself and your family, no one else will! Personally, I would rather trust practitioners like Wolfgang Maess with 40 years of professional experience and his reports than the government's 10,000,000 Micowatts. You could also put it this way: Buy a German diesel car, everything is okay, everything is regulated and checked, right?
Broadband measurement

When it comes to HF measurements, a distinction is made between measurements with broadband measuring devices and measurements with so-called spectrum analyzers. The measurement with a broadband measuring device is used to determine the sum of all high-frequency signals. It is sometimes possible to differentiate between the channels using audio signals. We carry out our measurements with broadband measuring devices from Gigahertz Solution and Aaronia.

 

What can you do yourself?

  • When buying a Dect phone, make sure that it has at least the “Eco” or, even better, “Eco-Plus” mode. Check your phone's Settings to see if these features are enabled. Normal older Dect phones broadcast 24 hours a day. Telephones with “Eco” mode do not emit radiation at least when the handset is in the base station. With “Eco-Plus” Dect telephones, the handset does not emit radiation even when it is not in the base station and is not being used for calls.
  • Do you always have to be available? Switch your smartphone (cell phone) to flight mode when you carry it in your pocket, because then the cell phone will not pulse with 2000 microwatts or more into your body every minute, near the reproductive organs in men and women.
  • It is better to use a headphone to make calls on your smartphone (e.g.: KINDEN anti-radiation headphones), this will give you better protection. The SAR value of cell phones only indicates the possible heating of body tissue and does not include damage caused by HF radiation.
  • Make sure that your child does not take the cell phone into the bedroom; the same is also recommended for adults.
  • Make sure that your child does not play internet-based games such as Clash of Clans, Clash Royal or Pokemon GO with their cell phone or tablet, because then the cell phone will pulse with full force in your child's face. It is better to set up your child an Android simulation game console (Bluestacks) on the PC and make sure that the PC is connected to the router via a LAN cable. Of course, you still have to think about the type of games, but at least your child will be protected from RF radiation.
  • Make sure that your router is placed at least 2 meters away from your office workstation, the further away the better.
  • Protect yourself from RF exposure where possible, maybe not exactly like this man, but there are a lot of good ways to be protected and still be modern.

Health effects

The following health disorders are mentioned in the specialist literature in relation to high-frequency radiation exposure:

Nervous disorders such as lack of concentration and irritability. Sleep disorders (also due to melatonin deficiency), headaches, exhaustion. Changes in the blood count, formation of red blood cells, weakening of the immune system. From a load of 1000 microwatts for 10 minutes, which is achieved by a long cell phone call, the blood-brain barrier opens for 2 hours and toxins can enter the brain cells and thereby promote diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. Cardiac arrhythmias, high blood pressure, ringing in the ears (high-frequency hearing), tinnitus, dizziness, sudden hearing loss, eye irritation and visual disturbances, disruption of cell communication, damage caused by DNA breaks, increased risk of cancer, tendency to depression, tendency to infertility, irregular pregnancy, deformities.
